Amundi Funds Net Zero Ambition Top European Players is a SFDR Article 8 Core European Equity Fund. Our stock picking approach is bottom-up, high conviction and research driven. The Fund aims to maintain a high ESG score with a carbon score that is significantly lower than the broad European equity market. To do this, ESG and Fundamental analysis are fully integrated with a strong focus on carbon reduction with a decarbonisation target of 10%p.a. We monitor and assess carbon data for all holdings, assessing future trends and significant actions with a focus on three types of climate companies, Champions, Enablers and Committed.

About the fund
This fund is part of our Amundi Net Zero ambition range. The range of funds seek out companies best equipped to support the transition of the economy to a reduced carbon model.
The fund which seeks to deliver alpha and CO2 reduction is made up of European equities cross three business models while aiming to align to the MSCI Europe Climate Paris Aligned Benchmark
The fund aims to buy equities across three business models:
1. Climate Champions
Companies that are already very advanced in their CO2 mitigation, and by growing they implicitly impact the world positively
2. Climate Enablers
Companies operating in activities and, or that produce technologies and innovative products/services that can facilitate a path towards a lower carbon world. They can have a higher carbon intensity relative to the universe & their sector average.
3. ESG Committed
Companies firmly committed to reduce their carbon footprint and have a strong ESG profile currently (C or above).

What is Net Zero?
Put simply, Net Zero is a global objective were we each must contribute to reducing greenhouse gases to as close to zero as possible, with the remaining emissions being reabsorbed in the atmosphere, for example by the oceans and forests1.
