Yin Ruoning becomes women’s golf world No. 1

China’s wunderkind Yin Ruoning, aged 20, became the world number one in women’s golf on 10 September after finishing third at the LPGA Queen City Championship.  Yin became the second Chinese woman to claim the world number one ranking after Feng Shanshan in 2017.

Gianna Clemente, US

Gianna Clemente is currently the #1 ranked junior in the world (AJGA, Mar ‘23), American Gianna Clemente made history in 2022. At just 14 years-of-age, Gianna took the golf world by storm becoming the first ever amateur to qualify for three-straight LPGA tournaments. Since playing competitively starting at age five, Gianna is a 3-time World Champion and holds 133 total tournament victories. Recently named to her third Rolex Junior All-American team, Gianna’s impressive 2022 season included a successful title defense at the 2022 AJGA PING Invitational where she dominated the field by seven strokes. Gianna also finished runner-up at both USGA’S Girls’ Jr. Championship and Amundi Junior Evian Cup, representing Team USA.

Agathe Laisné, France

Agathe Laisné was born and raised in Paris and was crowned European Individual Women Champion at the age of 17. She competed in the Amundi Evian Championship in 2015 and 2017. Agathe moved to the US and joined the women's golf team at the University of Texas, becoming The Big 12 Individual Champion Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-American in 2019. Agathe continued to play for the French National Ladies' Team, playing twice on the International Palmer Cup Team and had the opportunity to play the Augusta National Women's Amateur. She is currently a rookie on both the LPGA tour and LET tours.

Kaitlyn Papp, US

Kaitlyn Papp is in her rookie season on the LPGA tour, after successfully earning her card at Qualifying School at the end of 2021. Her amateur career includes three wins on the amateur circuit, four All-America selections at the University of Texas, and five appearances for United States national teams. Kaitlyn was the low amateur at the 2020 US Women's Open at Champions Golf Club in Houston, and holds the University of Texas's all-time record for career scoring average. Kaitlyn is off to a strong start to her professional career, having already won twice on the Women's All Pro Tour.

The Amundi Evian Championship

July 11–14, 2024 | As the only women's golf Grand Slam tournaments in continental Europe, the Amundi Evian Championship takes place annually at the Evian Resort Golf Club. Each year, it crowns the leading women golfers in the world.

Through the Amundi Women Talent program, Amundi partners with inspirational women golfers for a two-year period to help them develop their talent and raise their profiles on the international golfing stage. The players we support inspire all of us, and we are proud to support them in their endeavors to become champions.
